Living with a Pregnant Wife

Julie is a very fun person to be around.  She is smart, funny, and can even be silly from time to time.  When she is pregnant things tend to get a little more interesting.  She is still smart (although pregnancy brain does occur from time to time), even more funny, and still very silly from time to time.  The most interesting part of watching Julie cope with pregnancy is frustration with food.  This excerpt from her journal is very typical of her daily struggle with finding something that sounds palatable and desire to eat something that really satisfies. 

I've been craving the Desert Edge Brewery's Szechwan Chicken Pasta Salad and Parisienne Eclairs like freaking mad!!  I start to daydream about them until I salivate and my stomach rumbles.  I sure hope to be able to satisfy those cravings one day.  It just drives me crazy!

Thankfully, Julie is going to be eating with a friend of hers at the brewery mentioned above next week!  The parisienne eclairs will have to wait another year when we hope to take advantage of Delta's planned direct flight to Paris out of SLC international!  Hold on Julie!

August 2007

August has been a very busy month.  Early in the month we spent a lot of time playing hard and exploring the world with Nate.  He was recently started saying "wow" all the time.  It is really cute to see him experience so many things and the way he observes the world around him is incredible.  He sucks it all in and I think this picture of him really shows his curious, observant, and empowered nature.

Big, Big, News!!!!

We are ready to announce to the world (the two people that read this blog) that we are expecting our second child in March! We are very excited to welcome another baby into our home and Nate is excited to finally have a sibling! To further add to the big news, my sister is also expecting her first child in March! We are very excited for them (Breanna & Gene) as well.

Once again the Snow family blog will buzz with information about babies! We'll share pictures and experiences along the way so get ready for a fun ride!

Drumming Pictures Updated!!

Nathan is becoming quite the drummer these days so we have added some pictures of him playing the drums to the drum photo set.  Enjoy!  The new pictures are near the bottom of the page and on the second page.

Nate's First Hiking Trip

Nate went on his first hike up Little Cottonwood Canyon at Lisa Falls.  He had a great time playing in the stream and moving the rocks around!  He loved walking up the trails and being outside in nature.  Enjoy the photographs.

Trip to St. George

A couple of weeks ago we went to St. George and took Jake & Liz along with us (Julie's Nephew & Niece).  Before now we've avoided long car trips with Nate like the plague and after this trip, I think we'll stick with the airlines!  We had a good time while there but the drive there and back was pretty crazy.

I've posted the pictures from our trip which include a stop at the St. George Fun Center, Sand Dunes and "Part" of the Butterfly Trail (we got lost) in Snow Canyon, and a stop at some fun park.

Hogle Zoo

Last month we took Nate to the Zoo for the first time.  We had a great time and Nate recognized many of the animals!  He really liked the elephants, zebras, and the playground!  We have selected a few of the photos that we took and posted them on flickr.

Site Updated

I have been thinking of updating the site for a few weeks now.  The old site was starting to look too old and I didn't really like how some of the page elements came together. 

I have been thinking of what template I want to use and about adding another sidebar.  I finally decided to go with one of the normal Blogger templates but I wanted to add another sidebar on the left side of the page so I could include more content near the top of the page.

Added an new Flickr badge in the left sidebar and also a gadget showing some of the stuff that I have found interesting from the web compliments of Google Reader (my current feed reader, it is very nice). 

Those are the main changes for now and we'll see if I adapt anything else.  I also plan to continue with the travel blog (see link in right sidebar) here in the near future and I'll let you know when I get a new post up.

We have some very cute and interesting pictures from May that I want to share.  Julie took most of these and you can tell which ones are hers because they are very creative.  I really like this one that is titled Boundary.  Very Cool!

Pictures of Nate's shoes remind me of what it means to be a little boy.  This picture rocks!
