Sisters

Sorry it has been so long since I have blogged. I have been very busy over the last two weeks. I'll really try to blog at least once a week.

I'll have some more pictures of Julie to post in a couple of weeks so stay tuned.

I am also going to start another blog that will focus on my rants, photography, and engineering. I hope that you'll find both of my blogs a lot of fun.

Now, on with sisters. The other night we went to the mall and I really should have taken more pictures. Julie and her sister Karen do really strange things at the mall. I'm not sure what it is about the mall but it seems to fuel goofy and strange behavior.

Sisters on the ride

Do all sisters have this bizare bond? Breanna didn't have any sisters growing up so I never really witnessed that.

Julie is still doing great. She is starting to have trouble sleeping. Is it too early for that sort of thing. We don't know. It is the worst when she rolls over. Nathan comes slamming down onto the bed.

Anyway, see you later.

Crazy Stuff

Due to the large influx of requests that I have received I will post some pictures of the Lovely Julie Anna this coming week. If you haven't seen her lately you might be surprised to see how large her belly has become.

We went to see Star Wars again tonight and wouldn't you guess, Nathan was going crazy during the whole movie. He really likes Star Wars just like his dad. He is going to be a really good boy.

Julie is now entering into the nesting phase of her pregnancy. So far, nesting has been manifested by Julie as dissatisfaction with anything less than clean. She woke me up early this morning to tell me about all the things she wanted to clean and do. In any case, she is really weird.

It's a.............

Well everybody.....

We are expecting a baby BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are very, very excited to have a crazy little boy running around here. We are going to build the coolest sandbox in the world. It will not be limited to sand; it will include gravel, sand, silt, and clay.

He wasn't very shy and we immediately saw that we were having a boy. He was just sitting back, relaxing with his hands behind his head. Then just to show off he put his feet behind his head!! It was very clear that he was relaxed because we actually saw him yawn!!!! So we have some good pictures that we will scan soon and publish them online. We got a really good video too!

After our appointment we went to the store and bought a Thomas the Train toy to celebrate.

Stay tuned for the naming game. We will post potential names and you can voice your opinion on how much you like or dislike them!

Baby Clothes

One more thing to post.

We just got our first baby outfit. It is turquoise with flowers on the shirt and pants. Very cute and very girly. We'll see if it's the right color and motif. We received them on he part of Julie's Grandparents Raines in Pennsylvania. We are very grateful for their generosity.

Baby Movements

Over the last week I put my hand to Julie's belly like four times to try to feel the baby kick. With my hand on Julie's belly and her hand on mine she asked me if I felt anything. Of course the answer was no – With the exception of intestinal rumblings!!! So as you can imagine I was feeling pretty bummed. I didn't really want to try to feel anything because I thought it would still be a while before I would feel the baby, and I didn't want to be disappointed again. So sad.

Well, Yesterday I interacted with my baby for the first time. Julie grabbed my hand and said try to feel this! I'm like alright we'll try again and fail. So here I am with my hand on the belly, trying to feel the slightest movement. Nothing. I waited longer. Finally, I felt a little push. Then another!!!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I felt my baby move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was if the baby were saying, "Hello daddy, I love you!" It was so cool.

Julie's Belly and Cool Dream

Hello:

As of today Julie’s circumference has increased from 26” to 31.25”.

She has been feeling baby movements for the last week or so. Unfortunately they are all too faint for me to feel them. 

Yesterday morning Julie woke up and told me she had dreamt about part of a wastewater sewage system known as an anaerobic digester!!!! She was trying to advocate its use to her parents who thought it was weird.

Pregnant women do weird things all the time!!!!
