Does anyone want to buy a Sandisk 1 GB SD card? I used it for about a month and it has never given me a problem. I'm thinking about 15 bucks?

Tragedy and Virginia Polytechnic
If you haven't heard about this yet please check a national news site and get the details. It is so sad to hear this news and it is such a cold and callous thing to do. Who knows what the shooter's motives were but it just makes me so sad and I really feel for the people that are involved.
This really does affect me because I'm on a college campus four days a week and I've never felt unsafe there. The thought has never even crossed my mind that I might not be safe at school. A school is a sanctuary of learning where we shouldn't have to deal with this sort of cruelty. The people on that campus will have a very difficult time getting over this when they were only seeking to better themselves and prepare for their future.
Anyway, I give my condolences and prayers to the people that are affected by this miserable tragedy.

New Vacation Pictures - Condo
I have been through a whole bunch of our vacation pictures and I have posted a bunch that were taken of and from our condo. I will follow up with more pictures from our vacation later in the week.
Remember that I store the pictures here for archival purposes too so there are some very similar pictures. I will organize them all and make highlight sections at a later date.

Family at the Park
We all went to the park on Sunday afternoon because it was just beautiful outside! We had fun on the playground, chased birds, rollerbladed, and used the new toddler backpack. We had a great time and Nate really loved it all. It is so much fun to see him explore the world around him.
Here is a pictures of Nate going down the slide wearing his cool sunglasses.
Here are a few pictures of Nate chasing the seagulls, they we his favorite thing at the park by far! He was so funny, he was always looking for them and even saw one on the top of a light post!
We finally took a few pictures of Julie's new Hyundai Elantra! We bought that car last year but never took a picture of it! Julie really loves this car and it is one sweet ride.
Here I am wearing my Solomon rollerblades. Julie picked these out for me last summer and I think they are just awesome. They are so comfortable and speedy! Thanks Julie!
This is a picture of Nate and me while wearing the new toddler backpack. We picked this up last week in preparation for our trip to Puerto Vallarta this coming weekend!
I can eat by myself!!!
I've uploaded a whole bunch of pictures showing Nate trying to feed himself and laughing like crazy the whole time. I thought you might really enjoy them!
One of the reasons that we enjoy these pictures so much is that Nate was being messy on purpose to make us laugh!
I also uploaded a ton of other pictures so enjoy them.

Rain of October 6th, 2006
A few months ago, there was a large rainstorm across much of the state. The rain was particularly heavy in Layton. Much to our dismay, we all found that the capacity of the Layton City storm drain system is not entirely adequate. In spite of our dismay, we took some very interesting photos, a few of which are contained herein.
This is the intersection of 1100 West and Gordon Ave. The water reached over the curb a few inches! This was pretty scary for the people that hit this over 30 mph! Yikes!
One of our neighbors drives a really cool assault wagon that he usually parks on Gordon Ave. I'm not sure why one would need to move such a formidable vehicle?
I tried to get several photos of the vehicles that drove by but I was using an older camera (because it was still raining quite hard) which made the timing difficult to get right and this is probably the best one! Pretty cool huh!
This is the last photo I will post and it actually shows the water coming up our street. As you can imagine we were sure happy not to have a basement that night!
That was a pretty fun night and I hope you enjoy these pictures!

Nate's Big Day at Church
So we don't remember the last time we were able to keep Nate in sacrament meeting the whole time. He just likes to walk, run, and play like a typical boy. If we are lucky we might make it about halfway through the meeting.
Today, Julie thought that we should get there a little early so we can get a side bench. Now we can keep him in a confined area but we don't have to hold him the entire time which gives him a little freedom to walk and climb without disturbing other people.
I'm pleased to say that it worked! He made it through the whole meeting! I tried the same approach in Sunday School and it worked there too!!!!! Needless to say we are very happy!
Now were are trying to figure out how to prepare him for an upcoming plane ride. He has flown a few times before but typically slept the whole time. We don't think there is much of a chance of that anymore. Oy!
